Awesome! There are so many ppl that have had sscary road trip stories. My family was followed home by a trucker in a semi. He pulled into our driveway behind us, sat for a minute staring, and then drove off. Creepy as hell.

3:25 I sleep in my car from time to time. There are safer ways to do this, but I ALWAYS keep a .357 S&W snubnose tucked between seat and console. I chose a powerful revolver because it won't jam and it's powerful enough to penetrate a person through a car door or windshield. I wear dark sunglasses so no one can see my eyes and won't know if I'm asleep. I've never had a problem.

The reason there is no rest stop North of Denton on 35 is because there is only about 25 minutes to Oklahoma, , then its casino city! But good stories!

When I lived in Germany I had my home in a tiny rural village about 45 from my work. There was this 2-3 mile part of my drive that always made me hyper vigilant, nervous and anxious. It was a small Forrest area and nothing compared to the dense Forrest I was driving through the rest of my drive. However the very first time I had to drive through it I immediately got an eerie, something is off feeling. Oddly enough that stretch of the road was the only part where I had no cell signal either. Every single day I was driving to and back from work I was anticipating the little Forrest. One night I was as returning home from mid shift - it started to snow while I was still at work. I left work earlier than usual since the snow was getting heavier by the minute. It was about 2100 in the evening when I hit my scary stretch of road. The entire trip I was driving slow and steady and although I couldn’t see much because of the snow I was making progress. Right before I drove into the Forrest I got this overwhelming feeling of something is going to take place. Suddenly my car slowed down and came to a complete stop. My lights went out and I was left in complete darkness. Just remembering it gives me anxiety. I got out of my car and started walking. This was back in 2005 when your cellphone didn’t have a flashlight. The snow had completely disguised the road, there was no sound, not one other car and the feeling of someone watching and following you. I was literally running, sliding through the darkness and scared to death. About 1 mile after I had ran through the Forrest I heard another car and although I had no idea if the person driving the car had ill intentions or not I pretty much jumped in front of the car. The car was occupied by a couple that was startled and probably thought I was a ghost walking in a snowstorm but I really didn’t see another way out of my predicament. Everything about it was creepy. The couple gave me a ride home and although I didn’t see anything that night I know for certain that something was following me. I quit my job after that and talked to people in my village about that stretch of the road. Without saying anything everyone I asked said they felt very uncomfortable and flat out scared to drive through there.
