3 Tips For Delivering Presentations That Engage & Inspire !

No 1 : Know Your Audience

-When you present , it's NOT ABOUT YOU. It's about your audience and understanding who they are, what they know, what they are expecting (i.e What's In It FOR THEM to listen to you) , the context in how you are going to be engaging them (i.e formal/informal). A great framework that can help you craft your Communication Goals is the Know-Feel-Do Model.

No 2 : Know Your Story

-This relates to crafting a narrative that is engaging and not just spewing facts and figures. Consider who the characters are , what the setting is and the conflict/challenge/complication that drives your plot. If it gets too hard , you can even tell a story about yourself !

No 3: Know How You Are Going To Deliver Your Story

-This comes down to some of the mechanics of communication and public speaking (i.e things like pacing, body language, tone etc). The key thing is to practice as that helps you adapt when things go wrong (which is likely) but also remember to be your authentic self .
