it's the subtle acting for me. lestat's prancing around at the beginning, but as soon as armand starts talking to him, that smile is gone. for a few seconds you can see him freaking out before pasting a smile back on and continuing his lines, but he keeps scanning the crowd, trying to figure out who is in his head. he sees armand, puts the cocky smile back on fully, but right before he turns, you can see how pissed he is. methinks this is reminding lestat of how magnus stalked and took him. brilliant acting

I love the small freakout that he tries to mask as he hears Armand mindspeak to him for the first time and the anger and fear in his eyes as armand calls him a child of magnus. But as soon as he lays eyes on Armand(I think he senses him like Louis did when he and Armand first met thats why he knew where to look)And then he is back to confident and as the lestat we know and love.(The shift in Sam Reid's facial expressions in this scene from oozing confidence to the bearly masked freak out and back to confident and cocky, he is also I think showing the contrast of still young and naive lestat compared to the 160 something year old lestat of Louis P.O.V)


This scene made me fall in love❤❤❤❤ with his very crazy very traumatised being

The funniest shot for me is at 1:05 with the orchestra gazing at him. He has a hold on everyone.This scene perfectly set up his rockstar era. How would Lestat NOT be a famous musician?
