I use my thumb over the top for most of my barre chords. The E/F, (how ever you call it), shape and the Am/Bm shape. The Bb/A shape I play as normal. Neil young does it all the time. I didn't learn it from anyone, but it works. In fact, when you use the thumb for the F shape at the fifth fret, you can leave the A string open. That gives it a fuller sound. It's just the way I do it. Great video Tony!
