We all get stressed out from time to time but what is stress?

It doesn't matter what the reason is for stress because we all get stressed out over different things. The bottom line is that stress is a common factor in our lives and it can be extremely damaging to our bodies.

There are two types of stress, acute stress, which is short lived and doesn't do much harm to us. It's what we feel if we get startled or have an immediate but not long lasting threat or issue.

Chronic stress is the one we need to worry about because it can cause severe long term health issues. For example, it can permanently raise blood pressure which can lead to heart attacks and more.

The good news is, there are things we can do to combat stress like deep breathing, meditation and regular exercise just to name a few.

Love it as always, I feel that atm life in general stresses me out but I never realise it - like it's hidden. As I'm juggling so much at the moment, I think most of the stress I feel comes from work and college but I never feel stressed until it all comes at once, like when I finally realise that 'Oh damn, I have 5 days to do 6 bits of work for college but I'm working most of those days, how am I going to get this done' type of stress.

One of the ways I know I have stress is when I get a migraine, I believe that when I get them they are triggered by stress as well as lack of sleep, I'm hoping that as my life progresses (leaving college, possibly leaving work to work Youtube full time - a goal of mine) that I'll just feel more at ease

My way to deal with it when I do occasionally feel it is to breathe regularly and think positive about myself, surprisingly enough, Youtube is the one place I can come to to entirely get rid of my stress for that short amount of time (whether it's 10 minutes or 10 hours). Mainly because:

1. I watch my favourite Youtubers and as I am subscribed to about 90 channels, I am always busy with new videos to watch
2. I have my own small following, which in hindsight will eventually grow correlating with time. So when I feel stressed for instance I think about the positive feedback people comment on my videos and I think to myself, 'I've made a difference', though it's a small one, if people come to me and watch my videos and come out of it happy or just in general liking my video, that's a success I feel happy about
3. Youtube has music I can lose myself in if all else fails

I always try and think ahead, where will I be in 2 years time etc, I think mostly about my Youtube career as I'd love to be able to do what I do but as a full time job, so looking into the future and thinking I will have a better life and better lifestyle definitely helps too!

Also the meditation video would be great, it's something I've never really thought about doing before but I might start trying!

Please do a video on meditation! That sounds great. I have been doing damage control this year from cronic stress. Getting better. Love this video.
