I’m gonna be really bold and say that KOOKIELIT is either a content farm backed by a company like anna oop or expanded so much that the channel has multiple editors and researchers they can pay for. There’s literally no way that a video with a shitton of editing and daily uploads are made by a simple group of friends. Maybe it initially started as a group of friends but then expanded but I seriously cannot convince myself that the channel isn’t backed up by something or someone.

I first watched kookielit in 2020, back then it was genuinely one person. They didnt post everyday. Then there was a community post, they wrote something along the lines of, "I'm really busy these days so my friend will be helping me out!" And then everything went downhill from there. All of the old 2020 videos were deleted to my knowledge.

I'm not a fan of KookieLit or SultryFilms. That channel consistently uploads content about Idols, just outright ridiculing them, trying to brush it off as if it is the appropriate way to share "honest feedback" when it's harmful and misleading. She also had the audacity to upload a video about Moonbin (already deleted). She sometimes removes comments who share opposing opinions. The constant spread of misinformation is annoying, and it's crazy how serious accusations are thrown over a few clips without freakin research. As international fans, we must be careful of K-Youtubers' mistranslating and false reporting. The only channel I like so far is probably Kpop Junkee.

Why is there so much hate in the kpop community, because of these k-tubers. They make these problems. People believe everything what they post. Even if it's just a rumor, it can be damaged the reputation of a kpop idol. They think this guy is a bad person.

Kpop junkee is the most legit among these people, while kookie has the most clickbait title on each videos.

One thing I find very strange is Most of the bad news is directed towards JYP, SM, YG. When she talks about kpop age issues, she says to babymon, it's a problem, but in the video before that, she just completely admired NJ.

They actually started their channel about the passings of other idols.
If you scroll back in their upload list you'll see that the first videos are about Sulli and Goo Hara.
This "person" started alone, but then when voices changed people found it sus and that is how people found out.
Esp because the voice actress for kookielit also leans her voice for multiple other 'kpop news/tea' channels.

This is so true, because the other day I was scrolling on YouTube and I saw the caption "new Korean law changes everything" and the thumbnail was New Jeans and they had "banned" over their picture. I immediately clicked 'cause I was like what about 'boy story' 'enhypen' new jeans', but it just turns out that was just clickbait, because the law just changed the work patterns and pay patterns of idols, both minors and adults

I'd also suggest covering Indian K-tubers like Edu Factz, Kdrama dost and Cinewood hub. They spread a lot of misinformation regarding Kpop and Kdrama, use constant clickbait, and encourage Koreaboos that fetishize Korean people, especially Korean men. They exploited Moonbin's death too. Edit: However, I understand if you can't cover them because they don't use English.

Also edited add: The fact that there is language barrier regarding Indian kpop fans does not help at all.

Channels like those are infuriating. One of my first thoughts after Moonbin's passing was just how excited all those channels would get for the views. They couldn't care less. I like k-content for the actual people behind them, the community and opinions, not this content farming.

I wanted to make a video exposing them, BUT EDITING TOOK SO MUCH TIME I had to stop. That's at least a team of 3-4 people. Maybe just two, because at least half their videos are direct rips from Koreaboo or allkpop, they copy everything from the images to the comment section, add some automatic capcut transitions and cutouts, and call it a day! The worst thing is once you watch a few of their videos, the suggestions NEVER leave.

I started this channel to escape my old algorithm, and now I'm being shown all sorts of creators with less than 1k subs, making way better content.

You are right. KOOKIELIT is a content farm. I am guilty of engaging with their content.
BeBoss is another.

I also remember how during the Jae (former Day6) controversy, KookieLit started to spread rumors that he "bullied" Chan from Stray Kids. While what originally happened was wrong, to spread baseless rumors in order to get views is downright horrible. It's even worse that it's still up, even after he has taken accountability for his original actions.

I sub to KOOKIELIT channel since 4 months ago bcs i thought they're at least the most updates kpop related yt channel that i could find that day.

But since March i noticed something fishy about their content. They keep on bragging about Wonyoung's body, not just wonyoung, but the body shamming content keep showing up everytime they talked about any girlgroup. Then, keeps bringing up about how lazy Wonyoung is (not just wonyoung but jennie's also), bring up the Jennie's clothing choices for BP concert, marinating something that wasn't even a huge problems, comparing some idols to another (unecessary related at anything), etc.

When an Idol gains weight and no one notices or makes a vid abt it it‘s okay. Then I see these ytbers (incl. Kookielit) who talk abt it and then the hate starts on the Idol.
Just let them live and not control every little bodypart if it‘s thinner or thicker.

YESSSS! Finally someone speaks about this. I've observed the way these k-tubers talk and present things and I also want to report BeBoss TV for doing the same shit as KOOKIELT does. This is despicable and I hope we can get these channels removed ASAP!!

They've posted some weird stuff in the past, but I just ignored it cus I like being updated on kpop news (although I vastly prefer KPOP junkee). The newest video about Moonbin was the final straw for me. It's disgusting how many youtubers are exploiting Moonbins death for views.

Thank you for opening my eyes on this because I honesty gave in to channels like these despite all the clickbait. I swear they just copy paste all the trending allkpop articles and throw in their editing, disgusting and rude
