John masterfully used his own faith and willpower, believing in his own convictions, that Dr. Fate was wrong (with the help of demons and magic), thus tricking a God into believing that he is irrelevant and no longer needed, wiping him out from existence with its own belief. That’s OP asf.

Thing is, Constantine versus Fate was done _years_ ago.
Young Justice sets up Doctor Fate as a power-tripping bodysnatching tyrant.
So what does every single competent fan do?
Write in Constantine to do what he does to _every_ arrogant demigod.

Most glorious one I saw was John, a Lantern, and Zatanna powered by the Star Sapphire hijacking _Klarion's_ power, depowering the devil brat and _giving his Chaos Magic to Constantine._

At which Constantine can finally use all those spells he knows without long rituals or summoning demons for help.

And then to tilt the odds further they set an ambush for Fate. Zatanna gets her dad back.

Constantine is genuinely one of the most interesting comic characters to me, I like that a lot of the stories he's in revolve around him manipulating someone instead of just being more powerful.

This is probably the punishment that Nabu deserved it without actually killing him.

Nabu has the traits of a parasite rather than a god that it claims to be and has had many beats unwilling puppet/slave and condemned countless others to senseless death due to Nabu’s own hubris and arrogance in the belief that fate is a singular direction when such things are never so clear.
