Entomology and Arachnology are my special interests and I looked up that book cover you wouldn't show and FUN FACT IT'S NOT A SPIDER! It's an arachnid though, commonly called a Camel spider but it's actually in a family that's kinda between Scorpions and Spiders called Solifugidae.

This video made me smile so much! I love that you both got huge stacks of shame. 😂

In victorias defence this trip defintely counts as a holiday, meaning all book buying bans and restrictions no longer exist, as she is on holiday 😌🤭

I’ll always be here to support and defend the book purchasing habits 😂

Ooh the woman in the purple skirt sounds intriguing! That 'disquieting but wryly funny' comment would have got me too!

I read the awakening in high school for my senior year ap lit course and absolutely loved it. I actually just went through all of my annotations and loved it even more. I am so excited to find somebody who's already because every time I recommend it to people they have no idea what I'm talking about.

I love that Victoria’s mystery book was a book you’d bought on the same trip!

Bit late to the party on watching this video. But seeing Roaring Girls (which I loved) reminded me of another book we have here in Australia. It is called Sheilas: Badass Women of Australian History by Eliza Reilly. It includes stories about a First Nations woman who was a bushranger, an undercover journalist in the 1880s, a brick throwing suffragette and others.

I'm looking forward to reading The First Day of Spring as part of Summer Mix Tape Readathon. Roaring Girls also sounds great. Lovely video x
