As someone who grew up in Alaska, I've been alone in the woods with a Grizzly bear multiple times, and I'd way rather choose to meet another bear vs. taking my chances with a random man in the woods.

A bear in the woods is in it's home and doing its thing. As long as I mind my own business, make my presence known then the chance of being eaten alive is very very low. In fact there's only 2-3 people mauled per year in North America. In general Bears want nothing to do with humans and unless it's very injured or extremely hungry or I give it a reason to feel threatened it's never going to mess with a human. While picking blueberries I've come across a mom with her cubs and it's really not that intimadating as long as you stay away from them they want nothing to do with you. Literally just talk and say "hey bear, i'm here" put your hands up and walk backwards so she knows you're not a threat and just go about your day. She's not going to randomly hunt you. However, a man in the middle of the wilderness is a very possibly a criminal or someone mentally disturbed and could do much worse to me then kill me and eat me alive. The FBI estimates 3% of men in most communities are predators and would offend if given the right opportunity. Open a history book or ask any women and most of us have been assaulted by a man. I don't knoe a single person who's been mauled by a bear.

I love men and theres plenty of amazing men out there but I absolutely would rather take my chances with a bear.

I’m sorry for the bad news to the women who would choose a bear, but men don’t automatically assault women the second their alone. That only a fraction of men. The chances of getting stuck with that terrible kind of person is very small.

A random bear can 90% of the time, be scared away by raising your arms and yelling. A man isnt scared away by you screaming at him.

Edit to add; if you can’t tell me actual facts about bears and don’t do any research whatsoever about bears, like how they arnt territorial and actually avoid contact with people then I’m not going to tell you anything but to go do research.
