Look at footage between the two attacks. Tiger will grab someone and they might scream initially before going silent as the kitty drags them into the woods. With bears you can hear someone’s agony over hours. (Bears have a tendency to attack and then linger around the area to maybe attack or snack some more. Especially mama bears)

There was some book written by an old British guy who used to hunt man-eater tigers in India. He said Tigers are actually far more merciful than we realise and could do so much more harm if that was in their character. Many times they just hid and let people pass. Once he stumbled upon a Tiger that had just made a kill and he didn't have his weapon. It could have easily killed him but it let him go. He called them the gentlemen of the forest and confirmed that it is only old and sick tigers that resort to hunting humans.

This is real. There was a girl that was getting mauled and eaten alive by a bear and the last thing she did was call her mom to say goodbye. Her mom recalled hearing the bear just ripping into her until she ofc stopped talking and she couldn’t hear her daughter breathing or anything. Depends what bear, if it’s a black bear that you’ve just stumbled across then you have a decent chance of making it back off. With a grizzly you’re just at the mercy of what it wants to do with you, if it’s a polar bear just say your prayers.
