Every week, we connect live to correspondents around the world, who fill us in on K-culture news in their respective countries. They have been selected based on their affection for Korea. Today we will delve into the affection for K-FOOD. We go live to the gourmet city of Melbourne in Australia, where Korean franchises are catering to the Australian palate, especially with one particular dish we want to delve deeper into today. We are connected live to content creator Farnaz Pirasteh! Hello Farnaz!

(SOA)
Q1. Please introduce yourself and your interest in Korea and especially K-food. (What are your favorite dishes and how often do you eat Korean food?)

(SOA)
Q2. Korean food items can be easily found in large supermarkets as well as convenience stores in Australia these days. I heard you can choose from a wide variety of options. How big are we speaking?

(BELLA)
Q3-1. One Korean dish is said to be particularly hot right now, which is Korean-style fried chicken. How popular is K-chicken in Australia?

(SOA)
Q3-2.
Farnaz, our co-host Walter, who's from Australia, told us (quote) "I was amazed to see how many chicken places opened up in my city (Brisbane) when I went back and every time I went past a restaurant they were always full, not just with Koreans but with locals as well"
How many stores are there and what about the price? Is having Korean-style fried chicken at those franchises affordable?

(BELLA)
Q4. (As a non-Korean), what makes Korean-style chicken special compared to other chicken dishes in Australia or other countries do you think?

(SOA)
Q5. What are the top chicken brands or dishes among Australians and what’s your personal go-to chicken dish and why?

(BELLA)
Q6. Any tips for enjoying K-chicken to the fullest? (what goes well with it?)

(SOA)
Q7. Farnaz, do you think the popularity in K-food, such as K-chicken will continue in Australia or grow even bigger?

(SOA)
Q8-1. Bella, you told me before the show that you had chicken for dinner yesterday, as a fried chicken fan and person living in Korea, what's YOUR personal favorite?

(SOA)
Q8-2. Farnaz, how does that sound?

(SOA)
Thank you very much for that Farnaz!
Thank you Bella, we'll see you again next week.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia and my favourite restaurant is Korean: "Alice's Kitchen". The owner and chef is Korean, and, now, my 'adopted' daughter 🤗
