BBC News looks at some of the numbers behind the crisis - in 60 seconds. Ongoing conflict in South Sudan is taking a heavy toll and the world's newest country is facing another food crisis.
Some 1.5 million people are already severely hungry, but there are concerns that number could swell by another million within six months. Recruitment of child soldiers is on the rise and fighting is expected to intensify during the coming dry season - forcing more people to flee their homes and further depleting food stocks.

Wow 5 years later, and absolutely nothing has changed. If anything it has gotten worse...This is so sad. The world has literally turned a blind eye on this country...

I hate this video, the same people who made the country dry and diseased and starving have the guts to film these kids. And leave them without giving them food or anything 😭😭😭

Why don't governments stop spending millions on pointless weapons that only end up killing innocent civilians - and use that money to aid these poor people. This is awful

Yes, all these places were parts of a condominium of the United Kingdom and Egypt between 1899 and 1956, it was called.

The supervisors of the earth (US, UK, Russia, France, and Germany), are too ashamed to admit their complacency in letting South Sudan, Syria, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Burundi and other flash point countries get out of control. Why will they allow South Sudan go without supervision when they brokered the peace and independence? What an irresponsible Leadership! Aid is not what we need, we need good earthly Leadership! We demand their admittance of negligence and promise not to let things get out of hand on earth again.

I would be dead if my parents doesn't feed me, and sometimes my sister gave her leftover food too.. Very happy to have her as my big sister.

This is in response to some of the comments posted on this video. It's the civil war going on in South Sudan responsible for this famine, not the amount of kids they had. And it's the ones who are innocent who are suffering the most.
