I thought it had frozen, but it reset just as was making a second attempt.

wha's the difference between that and a regular reboot? Either by the settings in the Roku or powering down

I have a Roku 1 that i just bought used that runs DOGSHIT. I just needed it to watch Global News on my CRT because its a very very old roku that still supports 4:3 TVs. The menu is just buggy and laggy and YouTube barely works, and global news streams started crashing. So i just decided to ONLY have global news because thats it's purpose.

Moral of the story.. this did not work... because mine is permanently just cooked
