How I fixed Buffering on my Roku TV and Streaming Devices

There could be many reasons why your Internet is slow and devices buffering.

If the speed is not where it needs to be contact your Internet service provider.

I have speeds of 450+  when I test it on a laptop (hard wired) I then plug the ethernet cable to Roku TV and my signal is only (good) or 22 MB. There has to be a way to improve this

Fix it, Netgear Home wifi Mesh system. I got the Netgear Mesh system and buffering has gone away.

60 meg down should present no buffering problems on of speed there, so what's the problem?

I have a 5g speed on my new spectrum router. I connect to it with my phone and my laptop. However, my roku express doesn't see it as an available option. And the roku is about 2 feet from the router.

We recently got the Verizon 55+ Ultimate plan for our phones and found that when using the hotspot in our camper, the TV was continually buffering.  When we got home we paid a visit to our local Verizon and discovered that the reason the Verizon plan was so inexpensive was that the speed was degraded, i.e., to around 3G speeds; way too slow for streaming.  In less than 5min, our Verizon rep changed the code in our plan, increasing the data speed to4G LTE.  This all came to a whopping$10.00 increase in our monthly bill.  Asa bonus, we noticed that there was a substantial improvement in the image quality on our TV, WOW!  If you’re experiencing buffering on your TV; give it a shot, maybe it will work for you,  it did for us.  NOTE:  you got to go through it to get to it.

Neither of my Rokus will connect to 5G. It's enable on my router. They are both less than a year old.

Mines hardwired and still buffering issues. ONLY with youtube. All other streaming platforms work fine
