5 Minute Therapy Tips - Episode 01: Anxiety

In the assessment of anxiety, we can be thinking about "how is this person anxiety-ing?" How is this person "doing" anxiety? For the patient, it feels as if the anxiety descends upon them. But there is some process, perhaps outside of consciousness, that is causing the individual to participate in their feelings of anxiety.

We are excited to share with you our new Youtube series which will explore topics such as Client Problems, Professional Issues, Clinical Concerns, and Methodology with new episodes every Friday!

I feel like In my case it’s weird because like 2 months ago I was good . I wouldn’t feel this amount of anxiety like I did before. Now I feel so much anxiety when I’m in public. I don’t know why I’m getting so much anxiety to the point where I don’t want to go out.

I feel like most anxiety revolves around you and other people’s actions that may cause you to create a bible of things you constantly create/form inside your mind.

What a gifted person you are.I find through the night anxiety terrible due to grief but I do find what you say to be correct, it is hard to relax when this is happening.

Jeff, this is a well done overview of a huge problem. I think all therapists will benefit from hearing this summary --- it opens up a lot of ideas for creative interventions. Thank you for putting it out.
