Women Should Never Be Priests 😤🤷🏿‍♀️

The role of priest is for men only in the Catholic Church. But we as women absolutely have a voice in the faith that modern-day Catholics that demand change seem to ignore.

Our sisters and nuns have dedicated their lives to Christ in the most blessed way. Lay orders like those available by way of the Carmalites and Dominicans is also an option.

A 200 year old religious order is shutting down because women aren't entering into it. This shouldn't be happening.

As a Gen Z, I don’t understand why the older generations are much more progressive when it comes to church and the faith yet we the younger ones are aching for strong tradition to come back and yet these older generations criticize us for wanting what is from the past. For example, my dad criticized me for veiling while in the church🥲

"Motherhood then becomes a kind of priesthood. She brings God to man by preparing the flesh in which the soul will be implanted; she brings man to God in offering the child back again to the Creator. She is nature’s constant challenge to death, the bearer of cosmic plentitude, the herald of eternal realities, God’s great cooperator.”

– Ven. Fulton Sheen

My 77 year old mom has always said, “If Jesus wanted women to be priests then Mary Magdalen would have been the first one to be ordained”

Boom!

when people ask me this question I tell them that the church itself is feminine and Mother Mary is Queen of the patriarchs and if priests were women it would be an imbalance and also that the priest are fathers for so many of us who don’t have fathers we can look to. We already have such a feminine presence in our faith we need men as priests to balance out the roles in the church. Joan of arc didn’t care about being a priest she was busy doing what God asked her to do. Their are women doctors of the faith as well so there is no limit to what role women can play but we don’t need the burden of priesthood put on us.

Look at the last 30 - 40 years of the Episcopal, United Methodist, Evangelical Lutheran denominations with the ordination of women.

I’m 70, and I agree with you! I think that women have always been extremely important in our faith, and have dozens of avenues to take up leadership rolls! We need to keep praying for vocations to our female religious orders. We have been teachers and healers in our faith, and have filled many leadership rolls through orders that women have founded. Historically, we have had these “lean” times which are eventually followed by renewal. We have to hang in there!

Women should not be priests. Christ is the head of the church and women are his bride. That's it!

I love the Latin Mass. We need more Women to be like Mother Mary and not like St Peter! We all have our place but Women Priests is not our place. ❤🙏

The orders that are closing are those who don't wear the habits. Take a look at the orders that use habits- most are thriving!!

Amen sister in Christ Amen! I couldn’t agree more! Why are they messing with our traditions leave them alone! Women have the strongest places in our churches and our faith. Some people just want to cause disorder but as a millennial I say leave well enough alone. I will be praying for our church 🙏🏼🕊️✝️🙏🏼🙏🏼

Only men can be priests by Jesus's example. He is God...He is revolutionary and surprised the Pharisees and the Rabbi's ...he could have selected women for the priesthood if He wanted yet that was not in God the Father's plan...we are made male and female and have equal important yet different roles. The priest acts in the male person of Christ at mass and is married to His female bride the Church...you can't have two women married. The most exaulted woman is Mary Our Mother...She was a servant leader...DO WHATEVER HE (JESUS) SAYS....they should want to be like

You know when I look at a former parish, your statement appears to be true. These women who want women priests are older. I don’t get that. I would think they would hold on to the traditional thought that women can NOT be priests in the Catholic Church. You know, as Catholics it is our duty to hold on to the traditions of the Church. Faithful Catholics who adhere to the tenets of our Faith appear to be the line drawn in the sand. Stand firm. Do not be afraid of those who can kill the body and not the soul.

I’m wanting to be a religious sister. And I agree with everything you said! We as women already have a wonderful place in the church, as religious sisters and as mothers. The greatest saint in the church, the Blessed Mother, is a woman! We have lots of wonderful women saints we can look to (St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Catharine of Sienna, Mary Magdalene, etc.). We don’t need to be priests in order to have a place in the church and be celebrated.

Women can be leaders in the Church without being priests, Pope Francis has given women administrative roles at the Vatican.
