The Church did not ban women from becoming priests to satisfy a patriarchal society.
The Church did ban woman from becoming priests _against_ a non-patriarchal society.

It is not possible for women to be priests because the Catholic Church is the Bride of Christ. Women cannot marry another woman.Period. Amen!

When I taught middle school theology, every year the students would ask me why women couldn't be priests. I would tell them, the Church has nothing against women, the Blessed Mother is the Queen of the Universe, the highest honor. Then I would ask them, "What gender is the Church referred as?" The students would answer, "She." "Exactly!" I would confirm. Then their eyes would open wide and they would answer back, "Oh! Now we understand!" Of course, Jesus is the Bridegroom and the Church is his Bride.

Why shouldn’t women be ordained to any position w/in the Church? Simple, because we are called to follow God’s plan and not our own. He set forth the roles of men and women in all aspects of our lives from the very beginning, and the responsibility of leadership rests on men not women. Even the lower orders should be male-only as they help prepare young boys and men for leadership. This push to place women in traditionally male positions in the Church is solely due to pride, the worst and most damaging of all sins.

Christ established His Catholic Church with the 12 Apostles, no women were accorded the right of being a priest to represent Christ. If God wants that to exist, God will make it so. We are to believe our faith and follow His directions. I believe, help me in my disbelief. Yes, there are more women then men, we are on a different plateau and thus we respect our faith. Father, Son and Holy Ghost. It’s hard to understand but because of our faith we continue to believe down through the centuries. Our faith is 2022 years old. May God Bless you🙏✝️❤️✝️🙏

Totally agree!!! And after Christ resurrected notice he would not allow Mary Magdalene touch him, yet before going to see his father Thomas did! Woman aren’t meant to be priests nor are we (lay men and women)allowed to touch the Eucharist... only those consecrated priests should!

I always explained it to my catechism class that only the 12 apostles were at the table for the Last Supper. If Jesus had wanted it any other way, he would have done it. He had no issues with breaking societal conventions.

Then I stress that women were present at Pentecost and have played a vital role in establishing and preserving the church all throughout history.

Married priests and women priests are two entirely different subjects because one is a man made tradition and the other is a Christ made decision.
