This is bs. The law exists, so priest don't have sons that will take over the church. A good way to have control. Its not divine. it's human law.

I think God didn't say that priest can't marry. Men was made to attract women I think it is natural for men to have sexual desire(in a good way) sexual desire and lust are completely different. I asked one time to a nun why they're not allowed to get married that if they have a child they have to choose wether ur child or being a nun. Then she answered that u can't have a family when u want to be a nun bc you must only focus to serve LordJesus&God same to Catholic priest as well. But it doesn't make sense to me you can obviously serve God while having a family y'know bc lets admit it priest are all men even they are priest they are human that can feel sexual desire same as women. theres a rumor that priest sometimes do such **** to some girls to relieve theirselves. And sex should be done within marriage right? So its better to have sex to ur wife than having sex to random girls right? There's nothing wrong for priest to have sex but it should be with their wife so yeah just saying

The Bible says be fruitful and multiply God approves of marriage that's why he gave a wife to Adam you remain celibate to avoid fornication which is a sin to God

The Church was a thousand years old before it definitively took a stand in favor of celibacy in the twelfth century at the Second Lateran Council held in 1139, when a rule was approved forbidding priests to marry. In 1563, the Council of Trent reaffirmed the tradition of celibacy.

Such bs. It was decided by a pope around 1000 ad. It was to simplify inheritance issues of priests that marry.

I liked the way the priest explained that one day, , , this horrible man made law of mandatory celibacy for Priests will be changed....I sure hope it will be soon. It is not a divine law, , , it is a man made law. Jesus's desciples were married priests...they were the very first christian priests. As for women priests, , , I think women can become deacons. They will make fine Deaconess!!! Jesus had no problem of his apostles being married, , , including St.Peter, , the very first Pope!!! The Catholic Church changed it...for in the early Catholic Church Priests were allowed to be married, , , until they did not want priests to leave their inheritances to their wives and children. That is It should be an optional choice...maybe they can say when a priest is mature enough..like maybe 40 years of age and up...that way he knows what he wants, , and there will not be any a priest can choose for himself whether he wants to remain celibate or become a married priest!!!! Now with all these horrible hypocrisy man made laws in the Catholic Church, , it is just full of evil horrible sex scandals and abuse. In the near future it will only get worse!! Priests will only keep declining!!! And the horrible sex scandals will only continue and get There are lots of reformers like myself, , , and we will keep at it and keep praying, , that soon, , , the church will relax its' horrible man made rule of prison mandatory celibacy for all catholic priests..back to its' Celibacy.''
