Be careful about a heater, The pump seems to keep the tank at a warm temp. I have the Indulge by Top Fin, and the pump and filter keep it warmer than it should be.

Very Informative video on acclimating your Betta fish and water changing your fish tank! It is essential to do 25% or 50% water change but not take all of the water in the tank.
