I purchased this tank about 5weeks ago. I have planted it. Now I have a betta, tiny Cory and a small snail. I change 20% water once a week. No issues at all. The only con I have is that big white tube in the center. I'm thinking of replacing it with a sponge filter for more swim area.

The Topfin Bettaflo tank is a nice tank but has its pros and cons! I like the way you set up your tank. Have you tried the Marineland Portrait five gallon tank? I have one of my male bettas in this decor tank. It is very nice except the water flow has to be adjusted.

After having this tank for a year the only thing I dislike is how easy the middle filtration tube can come out of place once it does the only way to put it back in place is to clean out the entire tank

I’m really really trying to like this tank. I love your scape. Just not a fan of the big white tube in the middle. Like it looks and works good for the most part but wow. I really tried to just give this tank a chance to change my mind on it but nope. I still am not a fan of it. You did good scaping it though!

Objects in the back of the tank seem larger? Might be a good thing Mandy:) If you stick a Betta in the tank it may appear as a huge colorful Great White Shark at the back of the tank:) That way Miss Kitty may think twice about taking the lid off;) Or, put a bigger target on it.

Hey, I just bought this tank about six weeks ago after cracking my son’s betta tank, I wanted to get his fish something a bit more roomy and comfortable for him, his fish seemed to love it at first, about four weeks, but I noticed the tank started getting dirty pretty quickly, I tried to avoid cleaning it too early on as not to stress his betta out too much, seemed like too short a time for a water change, so I scrubbed some of the dirt I could reach and left him alone. About a week or two later his tank was still looking dirtier and our betta fish was on obviously very sick somehow. I changed out half of the water thinking maybe it had become toxic to him. Unfortunately I came how from work later that day and he had indeed died. We were very attached to this fish. I think I may have unknowingly sabotaged his tank by using sand in the bottom instead of gravel. Has anyone else with this tank had the issue of the filter not working right? I noticed when I pulled out the filter it was almost completely clean still, I want to make sure for our new betta that I have it set up right so he doesn’t die again. Thank you!

Is a huge bowl any different from a cylinder shaped tank from the fish point of view. I think not. We have a big bowl, community betta tank here. With little distortion from our side looking in. Only a little bit in the back corners if that make any sense. And i can tell the fish are doing alright. You know you can tell if the fish are stressed out, right.

Anyone found any replacements for the led strip lights? I have two of these tanks and they are excellent tanks for countertops. BUT buying anything for the tank besides filter cartridges is very hard. The LEDs are very good and lasted some time but water eventually gets to them and the short out. Starts with them flickering for a bit then they go out. To comment on the lid. These tanks seems to be blown out of glass. So the lip around the top can be uneven which can make the lid have a wobble. Anyone have anything on replacement stuff for this tank plz lmk.

Amazon sword plant get big. Mine got too big for a 10 gallon. I couldnt imagine it can stay in there long term. Are you using a different light than from the tank lid because I dont think that counts as medium light either which is what the sword will like if you keep it. I doubt it would be enough for carpeting plants either. I dont think it's meant to be for plants but maybe a DIY lid and decent light will help a lot.
