I am from the Chicago area and my husband is from the Bay Area, CA. He got a job at TTU. We moved into the Rush neighborhood by Higginbotham Park. We love this park. Great walking trail, lit at night, dogs allowed, Great playground and a pond with ducks.

Some other areas worth mentioning in Lubbock are Vintage Township, Brooke Heights, Orchard Park, Oakmont, Kelsey Park, Hatton Place, Stratford Point, Preston Manor (in Wolfforth, a suburb of Lubbock), Escondido Ranch, Sedona (near Red Feather Golf Course), Melonie Park. Thanks for the video!

I live in the Northwest off 4th and Frankford in Shadow Hills. Quiet, almost no traffic, and the homes are mid 200s. Yes we are 10 whole minutes from all the restaurants on the other side of town lol

Is there a neighborhood in South Lubbock with new construction homes from maybe 200-300s?

This guy is living in a dreamworld or he is lying to make a buck in my opinion. Lubbock is a college town so you are always competing with houses to rent at a good price with students that can move in 3 or more roommates. Not to mention the horrible landlords. The crime has increasing gotten worse here especially gangs, drugs, and the cartels! The police department has a huge shortage of police to serve and protect! The crime is constantly in the great neighborhoods as well as the bad ones. There is not a lot to do here other than eat and movies. If you want to have allergies that you never had before come here to live! It’s a known fact that this area is terrible for anyone’s allergies! Plus it’s a dirt bowl and the city does not care about the community they care about the money in most people’s opinion. The drivers are horrible here and Dallas has a lot more nice and respectful people. Our family is looking to move away from this place due to the increasing issues. If you want to attend college it’s great but not for raising families. There are better places to live. Amarillo is a better choice or around the Dallas area. I could go on and on about Lubbock and how it is not a great choice but I don’t want to write a book on this message. Just want people to know the truth instead of listening to a money hungry realtor that will just feed you lies in my opinion, unless he has been living under a rock. Not to mention how costly the city water and sewer service is on top of everything else. The health care is very poor, you have to travel to bigger cities for specialist. It seems the doctors get their degrees and practice somewhere else. Just be cautious there are better places in my opinion…most people that live here are stuck or students.

For the Falls area, what you were describing is only south of 110th, and a very small area in the Falls. Big million $$$ homes, but small area in comparison. North of 110th has some very very nice houses that are very good if you are looking at $400K homes. Still expensive but very nice without breaking the bank. That area you were describing should be broken out into a class of its own.
