A few years I was living in my friends basement due to being forcibly removed from home. It was the roughest time of my life and I remember listening to this very late at night when my head was full of negative thoughts, it helped me remain calm and would put me to sleep despite the conditions

An underrated piece of English Melancholia from King Crimson.
It is up there with Nick Drake's exquisitely wistful "River Man".
The essence of loneliness - "I talk to the wind/The wind does not hear."

This version is very impressive indeed. I shall request this track for my forthcoming funeral.

how beautiful is the guitar solo in this version, it's so relaxing and at the same time so perfect, it makes me travel and stop thinking about problems for a moment

I can't believe it still gets me, since I heard it 50 years ago...

I just learned this is a cover ... It does not matter ... It is beautiful ... the song is beautiful ... And I needed it tonight, no matter who is singing it ... Thank you ... I talk to the wind all the time ... sometimes though, she does hear, and she answers me ... That is the beauty of being mad and a poet ... And the writer of this song was both and so also knew that she did ... sometimes ... when she felt like it ... hear .... Oh!!!! Such beautiful guitar play

RIP Tonyboy. So blessed to have had you for a big brother the purest example of unconditional love and the most eclectic ear for music.

This is beautiful. I have the original Crimson album (I know this is a cover) and still... What a guitar solo/outro. Just beautiful.

I Talk to the Wind

Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been
I've been here and I've been there
And I've been in between
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear
I'm on the outside looking inside
What do I see
Much confusion, disillusion
All around me
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear
You don't possess me
Don't impress me
Just upset my mind
Can't instruct me or conduct me
Just use up my time
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear
Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been
I've been here and I've been there and
I've been in between
