Some company should offer you a sponsorship for using their rakes. Maybe score a supply of laser guided, GPS enabled, carbon fiber/titanium rakes. Or a hat. A hat would be nice.

It’s very satisfying watching you do what you do and I admire your dedication and effort. I work for a township and I love clearing drains because you’re making a difference. A lot of the guys I work with say that they don’t get paid enough to do this or that and will slack off but here you are doing it for free. And I know what you mean about being discouraged about the litter and illegally dumped items. You can bring any bulk, metal, concrete, garbage, etc to our yard for free if you’re a resident. Tires cost $3 per tire. People still dump or throw garbage out of their windows. Even when I pick up litter at parks/playgrounds on a Monday, they are trashed again on Friday like I was never there. It’s a shame there’s people out there that just don’t care.

You’re like a modern day superhero. You clean storm drains, remove trash, inform law enforcement of illegal dumping, and make your department of transportation aware of erosion problems with their culverts so that something catastrophic doesn’t happen in the future. That is awesome.
