For yall asking how we get the chain or rope through we tie a slip knot on ropes and take a pike pole with a hook and hook the knot so when we get it the slip knot is easily undone and tied to the frame really simple

Notice that the tire is tied with 2 cables, the other one is probably for the next time the pipe gets clogged so the tire goes the other way instead.

Worked very well. If I did it… the rope would break when it was halfway through and would stay that way until the tire rotted a couple centuries later.
