One F1 driver forced a rule change cuz he had an unfair advantage. Another driver forced it as his victory celebration became too extreme!

But we have to start with Max Verstappen, cuz what he did to Hamilton forced a rule change.

It's absolutely ridiculous that they can't do donuts or burnouts, so many other sports do it, it just comes across as snobbish, I remember that hamilton schumacher battle at monza, hamiltion was behind for ages and when button caught up to hailton they swap around positions and button got passed schumacher almost instantly.

Some of these safety changes were warranted. Others are mystifying and just appear to be cultish bulldozing. Also a lot of these rule changes appear to have been made specifically so races and championships could be fixed beforehand.

It’s hilarious how they made NEW rules to stop Verstappen and they still couldn’t. Yet Lewis consistently talks about how everything is stacked against him.

Only 11 races counted back then, but there was plenty of retirements due to car failure, so that worked.

i wonder if hamilton/mercedes fans that watch this payed close attention to the amount of rulechanges in favor of mercedes or AGAINST mercedes rivals.
And this doesnt even include party-mode and the DAS which gave mercedes an edge, but were tolerated by FIA for 1-2 seasons because technically it wasnt against regulations.
So even when FIA makes a rulechange AGAINST mercedes, they dont enforce it untill the next season.
DAS was deemed legal simply because the description in the rules of such a mechanic was limited, and mercedes designed it to circumvent the description in the rulebooks.
But after more than a season of use, it was still banned because in spirit, it has always been illegal, mercedes simply circumvented the rule by designing the mechanic AROUND its exact definition.
Party mode was legal, but even after FIA expressed that it would be banned, they allowed mercedes to finish the season with it.

Mercedes turned up in 2022 with the worst car they've ever produced and could not figure it out. Getting the rules changed under the guise of safety was all a big con by Mercedes. Lewis needing assistance was just a show.

It is amazing that almost every rule change covered here involves Hamilton. Does F1 revolve around Hamilton ? Last I looked there were 19 other drivers and 9 other teams. It was so encouraging to see him get a penalty for driving into Perez. At last F1 realize the F1 universe does not revolve around him.

01:00. ok so i think you missed a whole bunch out here. a few races earlier at baku, hamilton had a problem with HIS car and the pit wall werent allowed to give HIM any help, despite it was an easy fix and would have taken them 5 seconds to let him know. so if you are going to point out rosberg being given help 2 races later, damn right he should have been penalised! the no pit wall help was still in effect so what is good for one driver should be good for another!
