I have this scanner and it’s the most important tool in our shop. It combines hundreds of softwares into one device. Absolute gem.

Can it scan how corrupt a manufacturer or dealership is?

Our 2006 Honda CRV battery was small but lasted 10 years!!
We miss that car.

I have a 2011 Civic sedan 1.8L auto. I have towed a 2004 dodge stratus with it a couple hundred miles. I have towed my small trailer with UpTo 1600lbs on it for many miles. I have always changed transmission fluid at every 30k miles. The car now has over 260k miles with no issues whatsoever. It drives and shifts like new.

For the cost of the Trailer Rental (about $700) and extra gas for 2700 miles (about $300) he could have shipped 8 50 pound boxes FEDex ground or UPS ground for less, and would not have risked burning out his transmission.

With Honda’s manufactured in Canada, they typically put the small batteries in their units sold in the US. Just replace with the larger Canadian battery for cold climates. It’s larger, more CCA’s and will last twice as long as the crappy batteries that come with the unit.

I remember having to drive a company owned semi that was limited to 57mph; they turned them up a little after so many drivers quit. Many I had were limited to 64 mph. So I and many others have driven across the country actually averaging less than 55.

Honda has used the 51r battery forever. Good news is they are cheap at Costco.

I knew someone who towed a large double axle U-Haul trailer with a Chevy Vega back in the 1970's. Top speed while towing it was 35 mph. He towed it from Chicago to Washington D.C. The car didn't run very well after that. His mechanic said, "It's terminal."

A small battery also requires less alternator capacity, meaning more weight savings and less parasitic engine drag. Battery only really has to start the car, tho if you like playing the radio more capacity helps.

I was looking to buy a mid priced autel scan tool, compared to the other ones it was reasonably priced that was until I read how much it cost for the subscription and updates, it was the same price per year for the subscription as it was for the scanner, to buy one just for your own personal use on your own car it’s just not feasible to justify and all I was wanting to do was reset the tpms, ah well back to the mechanic

You can buy a Launch scan tool plus a good oscilloscope for about $1500 and do everything that MaxSys can do, plus more.

For $4000, that scanner should do all that AND bring you a coffee.

One of the very few port injected engines left out there. And the valves are adjustable if you need to.

Just found your channel. It’s awesome! Do you have any videos on how completely insane Honda is when it comes to the alternator only charging the battery when the CPU thinks it needs to?
