VDJ2023 - Locating the VDJ home folder

In Virtual DJ 2023 the home folder may have changed location

Good to know incase I use a new laptop. You the man. I wonder why they would change it. Imagine at a gig trying to figure this out to resolve a issue.

With many DJs now upgrading Laptops to use full features of VDJ2023 is it possible to put in a request for a video on how best to transfer VDJ and music to a new laptop?

I've brought over the VDJ settings no worries and created file locations in exact same location for music on the new Windows 11 Laptop but all files won't load without relocating each one individually. I suspect there has to be an easier way and after all you are the grand master 😊

Hmmm... I see what they have done. But I keep my VDJ home folder in my OneDrive so it is backed up and I can share it across to my backup laptop.

If they had taken advantage of 'local' and 'roaming' then some settings would've been synced across any laptop/PC that uses the same Microsoft Account to login.

If the user doesn't roam, it still would've worked.

Hopefully the Reg Editor will still work and we can move the home folder if we want to.

If you type %appdata% into the address bar in Explorer/My Computer it will take you right to this folder.
You can also type it into the run dialog box (WinKey+R) or Start Menu > Run

I think it will be wise to start planning a new install rather than an update with all the changes that are coming for 2023 version

How can I find the equivalent of the AppData folder on a Mac since it doesn't exist by default?

why some folders are empty?
like the plugins folder have the soundeffect and its empty?
on the old virtua dj all this folder on the plugins have files in it but the new one doesnt?
can you still add or how can you add your own soundeffect files to the folder?
