IT was the first Stephen King book I ever read and pulled me back into being a heavy reader after not picking up a book (for entertainment) in a while. The character work is out of this world and right after I finished I immediately started to binge his other works. Hands down my favorite King novel.

I am so impressed that you read all SK novels. The book Rage was written at a very different time. There were no school shootings that I know of in the 70’s and it was a powerful book for it’s time. Sadly, we are in a different world. My favorites are Per Semetary, Salem’s Lot and the Shining and the Long Walk…. My least favorite was Cell. I just finished Later and really enjoyed it.

What a fabulous job you've done! As you said in your introduction, 100 King fans would undoubtedly come up with 100 different lists. But yours is well thought out. Having said that, of course my list is different. I think my top ten (no particular order) would include The Stand, Salem's Lot, Bag of Bones, It, The Shining, Pet Sematary, Needful Things, Desperation, Firestarter, and 11/22/63.

14:50 - Long Walk is indeed the first novel that Stephen King ever finished writing, which was in 1967 when he was a freshman in college. He actually started Rage earlier than that when he was a senior in high school but didn't finish writing it until 1971 when he found the partial manuscript it in a box in the cellar of his parents house.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It’s absolutely fascinating that you read all of Stephen Kings novels in just three years, especially some of his novels are insanely long!! I love this list and it makes me want to continue reading Kings books!! My favorite so fat are definitely It, green mile and I really loved Liseys story, but I’m currently reading Salems lot and I love it so far!

I just got through with reading Revival for the second time and in my opinion, it's one of the best examples of his newest balls to the wall horror, and The Dead Zone was the first Stephen King book I ever read and it holds a special place in my heart.

Its funny how every King's book, hits its readers differently. For example, dreamcatcher, was the first book of him that i read, and even tho ive read most of his books by now, dreamcatcher is still in my top 5, i love it.

Very good list! Makes me excited for all the upcoming good reads I have! I've only read about 10 so far - but Duma Key has been my favorite! Excited to read Firestarter and The Dark Half! Thanks again for the excellent review and list! 📚

Thanks for ranking the Dark Half so high !!!
As for me : IT is my number 1 King book, I haven't read everything but Sleeping Beauties is my least favorite one for now.

Thanks for the video~

Well spoken kiddo. I read the Shining when it came out because the silver cover was so cool. I was in 6th grade, and hooked! Recently I picked up Duma Key at an airport and I it’s a true hidden gem, with its enchanting beachy gothic tone. Thrilled to see it high on your list.

I've only Carrie, 'Salem's Lot and The Shining so far, and I'm currently on IT.
I'd say my favourite is The Shining. The world-building of the Overlook is great, the horror elements are extremely discomforting, and the character work is unforgettable.
I'd even go so far as to say it's the best book I've ever read, besides 1984. That's gonna be a controversial opinion😬
Seriously tho, why don't people talk about that book enough? It's just perfect!!!! Can't wait to experience the rest of King's bibliography.

The trouble with King is he ends up publishing virtually every word he writes

Of those I’ve read:
1) 11/22/63
2) IT - would be #1 if the ending 100 pages were better
3) The Shining
4) Misery
5) The Stand
6) The Dead Zone - last of his I read that I thought was great in this list.
7) Mr Mercedes - it was decent
8) Revival - was ok but didn’t like the ending
