Pretty cool, You can actually see the highlights in the palm tree disappear and slightly on her clavicle too. You can remove highlights without basically any loss of quality in the pictures. That adds a really soft effect to her skin. Cool tool to use wisely!

Understanding Circular Polarizing Lens filters: Light reflected by water surface is horizontally polarized (water itself acts like opposite of polarize filter - instead of letting only one polarization through, it bounces it off). Using a vertical polarization filter filters out the horizontal polarized light reflection therefore you can finally see underwater in photo.

You can use CPL to dim a screen, so that you don't appear black on the picture AND the screen is still visible.

I also like to show the effect on windows because it's dramatic. We can't see the interior due to the bright sun, so I showed how it looks through my phone (after rotating the filter to the suitable spot), and people were shocked.

I knew about polarised filters for 20 years because I vulgarized quantum cryptography 😅

The linear ones can be used to send secrets and detect eyedrops. Also for key exchange.
The show stopper is the transport, so it's not practical ^^
The "spooky action at a distance" was promising, but we no longer hear about it. (quantum entanglement)

Take away is that polarized filters are not only for photography or 3D movies 😀

Is it just me or does without the filter look better for this photo scenario

Do you think there's a difference in quality of polerization, depending on brand?

This is the “Shortstache Everyday Filter” from your other video?

I call that head tilting 🤷🏽‍♂️
The filter does nothing to the reflection, it was the tilt that made the reflection disappear.

Interesting many are just finding out about these filters. I have been using them since the early 1970s. Presenting this as some new technology!

My CPL looks really green and I used it for the first time and now my image is extremely flat and green so I'm having to use a lot of warmth and magenta to counteract the issues.

Can the CPL and ND filter break the reflection, the shine on people's skin, that shine that appears on people's foreheads?

Is it recommended for use in wedding photography and filming?

Sometimes that shine that gives to the white bride's dress, could CPL solve it?

It didn’t do anything, the light cut from her face when she tilted her head down.

Does a CPL filter reduce light? if so, by how much? 1 stop? half stop?

Okay thank you, I have been looking for a polarizer for my 85mm lens and I can't find it. All I'm seeing is 82mm, could somebody explain or is it one size for all lenses
