High evolutionary, by his standards, couldnt appreciate that Rocket was who he was, and a positive miracle. Like there couldnt be anything as positive that wasnt intentionally created by HE. That was his mistake. Its somewhat uplifting that Rocket persevered though he was traumatized so greatly. Of all the Guardians, Rocket had the greatest arc.

When I watched Guardians 3 in theaters earlier this year, I found this scene especially cruel. I am glad that the other Guardians helped Rocket beat the living day lights out of him later within an inch of his life.

This may be a hot take, but I believe the High Evolutionary is the best villain in the MCU, and yes I say he’s better than Thanos. The way they portrayed him is just absolutely insane. From the moment we meet him, he’s a monster and that continues throughout the whole movie. A lot of times with villains, they like to have a twist at the end and have a redemption arc, but not the High Evolutionary. He’s a monster from the beginning, to the very end. And you want to punch him in the face and want to see him fail soo badly. Just something about him is truly terrifying, but also amazing at the same time. He’s what true villains should be, no good side, just a pure hatred monster inside and out who wants to accomplish a mission and will kill anyone who stands in his way.

Interesting how The High Evolutionary is surprised Rocket doesn’t know he isn’t going to Counter Earth. He figured someone that smart would know he was only a Test. I guess his biggest flaw is he assumed everyone thought like him even when it was clear they don’t.

My one grip with this movie was that High Evolutionary gets off clean after all the shit he did to Rocket, Teefs, Lylla, Floor and to all those countless animals and innocent children. Instead of imprisoning him on Nowhere, they should've taken a page for The Fly and imprisoned him in that chamber where those animals were transformed and have it where he gets a horrific mutation or at least have him locked up in the cages right as the ship is going down!

People are obsessed with the death of animals. This man just wanted to create the perfect universe, but he wasn't. It's strange to say this, but his goal is noble. For a civilization to exist, others must perish. You don't know something to build in such a way that you don't destroy something in the process.
