Sony Xperia 1 Screen Review: World's First 21:9 4K HDR OLED Smartphone!

We review the picture quality of the 21:9 4K OLED HDR display on the Sony Xperia 1, and measured the colour accuracy of the [Creator] mode which attempts to reproduce the creator's intent.

This video includes comparison vs the Samsung Note 10+ (10 Plus). For overall brightness, accuracy and consistency, we think the iPhone 11 Pro Max is still slightly better.

Watching this on my Xperia1, switched the auto brightness off directly after he said it was better (have it in creator mode always). Nifty little thing, love this phone.

These kind of reviews of phone displays are almost apparent no where else. The "professionals" that test these displays often don't tell you much about the phones display on a practical level. Meanwhile casual reviewers tell you stuff that may be completely inaccuracte. This is why I really appreciate that you made this video.

If you can do the LG V40 and the One Plus phones that would be amazing as well.

Always wanted a Sony Xperia phone for a long time always think about trading in my phone it’s just a lot of the times Xperia phones aren’t really offered unless you buy it unlocked on they’re website so they are up there in price I really hope soon more carriers offer the latest from Sony always loved how Sony phones seem to always take risks and add new things that were never offered on current phones and loved there unique phone designs can’t wait to see there new phone

Watching this on my 2018 XZ2 Premium and loving it it's a beast .. Fingers crossed 🤞 the Xperia 1 will be my next handset as prices would have come down next year even more either Sim free or contract with EE. I have to say watching either YouTube 4K HDR videos or blue Planet II episodes on this handset even though its a IPS panel it gets seriously super bright 🔆. Anyways live long and prosper Vincent.
