Performance is killer as well. The Sony Xperia 1 serves up a silky smooth PubG experience, while Remote Play allows you to blast through PS4 games over WiFi. And thankfully the 3330mAh battery can cope with a stressful day, while the 18W fast charging means you can fill her up in just over an hour.

had my Xperia 1 since early July 2019... absolutely love it... crammed full of cutting edge tech, and amazing features, the 21:9 4K OLED screen is just gorgeous and the phone performs brilliantly day to day... sure i still charge it pretty much around the same time every morning with normal use but sometimes get close to 2 days battery with light use... the video recording at 1080p 60fps is gorgeous and colour reproduction is excellent... the dedicated gaming mode for the phone is a stroke of genius and i defo want this to continue with the Xperia 1 MK II... hopefully ill get to see that phone this summer! you are one of the few reviewers on YouTube who give honest Sony Xperia reviews... you can tell you are unbiased and just a guy who loves tech... all kinds of tech. wish is refreshing... i got tired of a large number of sellout tech youtubers who are clearly paid by Samsung or Apple to give good product reviews but the same guys always slate Sony smartphones for silliest things... anyways take care mate and look forward to your Xperia MK II hands on soon!

Dynamic Vibration is not a gimmick.

Just leave it on minimum and in a week it will feel natural and using other phones will make you realise that you miss it.

i have had my Sony Xperia 1 since early July and its been stellar... superb phone with the best cameras i have seen on a smartphone... my best friend Nadeem has has the Samsung S10+ and even he will say the Xperia 1 camera is superior... personally i love the elegant tall and slim design... the Xperia 1 is simply a gorgeous phone and sits in the hang comfortably... it is feature packed with a blisteringly quick Snapdragon 855 CPU (8 core @ 2.84GHz) and a generous 6GB of fast RAM... the screen is stunning and at 6.51 inches @ 4K 1096 x 2560 pixels with a pixel density of 427 dpi... the build is superb with an alloy frame and front and back Gorilla Glass 6.0 bonded to it... it feels sturdy and has a nice weight in the hand... with something this good i will honestly probably use the Xperia 1 for more than two years... i cant recommend the Xperia 1 enough... i upgraded from a Sony XZ1 and prior to that i had the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Z1... and the Xperia S... im glad Sony didnt abandon the mobile market and they do make some of the best phones across all price points... but their market share is small... however those who buy Sony phones all know how good they are and how durable they are... i noticed potato princess's comment about how she has a Xperia Z the past 6 years... and thats impressive but it doesnt surprise me... Sony tech. is cutting edge and built to last... but i wanna thank Tech Spurt for being one of the few Youtubers without an anti Sony agenda... the Sony bashing we see from many reviewers gets old fast and its obvious they get freebies from Samsung and Apple hence their lack of unbiased coverage of Sony gear... anyways many thanks for the great vids and i did watch all your Xperia 1 vids before i got my upgrade sorted out... it only made my resolve stronger to get the Xperia 1... catch you on the flipside! :]

thanks for an honest review... i am a long term Sony handset user and i picked up my Xperia 1 last week from my Network... couldnt be happier... for me its the best smartphone Sony have ever releases... a few of my past handsets where the XZ1... Z5... Z1 and the Xperia S... all great for their time but the Xperia 1 rewrites the rulebook... thanks again!

Just got this. Had a few Sony phones and liked them. This though is tremendous! Screen is superb and the slimness of it is great in your hand. Feels like a true flagship phone

When you buy Sony you get something you only get with Sony . Reliability.

*It could have opted for aluminum full body design because it does not have wireless charging.
*Would like to see a 5x or 10x zoom camera.
*Smal battery is a problem and I worry that over time battery degradation will hit the phone harder than competition.
*Also no hi dac 3mm jack.
*Better manual camera controls and more fps options in video.
If they would have improved 3 of those points it would have been an absolute winner for me.

I love sony as I have a Sony xperia xzs and I would love to get the xperia 1, but the price is my biggest issue.
