The Orbiter V2.0 extruder was the final fix my Voron V0.1 3D printer needed to start printing amazing. The installation was quick, easy, and pushes filament better than stock ever did.

If you have been getting bad results out of your stock Mini Afterburner extruder, then maybe a new extruder will fix your issues. There are 4 common options that people pick: Orbiter V2.0, Orbiter V1.5, LGX Lite, and Sherpa Mini. These are all really great extruders and you would probably be happy with any of them, but I cover in the video the differences in them and why I chose the Orbiter V2.0.

I've had the same issues as you with the MiniAB as shown on 0:27 only way more extreme.
Here i'm still finishing my V0 build but i already switched to a printed sherpa mini extruder because i couldn't fix the issue in the miniAB.
The Sherpa is so much smoother and i love the modularity of a seperate hotend & extruder part.
It's also nice that it is able to make with the miniAB components.

I got the Bondtech LGX lite extruder to start with but had alot of trouble with it skipping steps even after non-stop of calibration and tear downs to re-check everything. So I am installing this now with the Revo Voron hotend and hopefully I will get some trouble free printing out of this bloody thing finally. Thanks heaps for sharing.

I've had nonstop issues with the mini afterburner as well, switching to the lgx lite was a fantastic upgrade.

I built mine with a Sherpa mini printed by me and never had extrusions problems fortunately

I've been running a Stealthburner and clockwork 2 retrofit on my Ender 3 for a long time now. Honestly the cooling and consistency and ease of loading and unloading filament has been great.
But also honestly I've never been able to get prints as good as I could with the stock hot end and extruder on a direct drive carridge. I tshooted the issue for a long time but eventually started just living with it.

Was looking at some old prints today in my junk prints box and I was like "Wtf bro these are way better than I can print right now?"

Did some research and decided to go with a completely different toolhead, the Mars Orbiter by squirrelf which is much more ender 3 focused and full featured. Also supports rigid mount for my dragon hotend and fitting the mars orbiter on top. Fingers crossed I get the old quality back!

In the end there is kind of a why bother with a 3D printed extruder when there are good injection molded ones that are all going to be way more precisely manufactured.

Good video. Many moons ago, I acquired the parts for a V0.0. Life happened and I didn't build it. Now of course we have V0.1 and I'm looking at getting the "delta" between the two in parts so I can build the latest and greatest from the start. While I'm at it, I'll be building it with whatever upgrades seem to make sense. And this one makes sense. It'll save me time, and apparently a little agony too. I'll be looking at your other videos to see what other upgrades make sense. Good stuff!

Hi, i am looking to get this for my v0.1 too however the stl says is for orbitor 1.5 not 2.0 are they the same?

Are you using a MGN7 or Mgn9 on X? I have the mgn9 on X mod i wonder if this will work?
