If you know anything about Deaf With The Record you know how we feel about Mike Love. Today I react to a performance that came up on my suggested videos (h8 u youtube algorithm) in which Mike Love performs an absolutely woeful rendition of the Beach Boy's classic 'Do It Again'...

The guy drumming is John Stamos an American Actor who starred on Full House. This is not the Beach Boys at all. Without the Wilson Brothers and Al Jardine...It is just Mike mouthing the words to the track with everyone else.

I saw Brian literally a few days ago and while he didn’t sing very much, understandably so, he was great when he did. Additionally, his band is fantastic with amazing voices and Al Jardine sounded terrific. It’s insulting to think this is being billed as “The Beach Boys.”

Comments by the narrator are spot on. The last concert by the real Beach Boys was in 2012 during their 50th-anniversary tour when Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks performed together. with Mike I consider Mike to be a tragic fool.

I knew Dennis Wilson and he was a good friend to are Family, Dennis went fishing with my Dad. He was a wonderful person and he really loved animals, Dennis had two Otters that he really Loved ❤ it Broke our hearts when he died, I called him Big brother because he protected me from his cousin Mike. I saw Brian and Al with their band in 2019. They were fantastic !

I think the "new" Beach Boys is basically Mike and Bruce doing some type of "octogenarian" Jan and Dean routine! I saw the duo on some show doing some "retirement centre"-like syncopated dance moves. It was sickening to watch, but I couldn't tear myself away
