Greetings Drifters!
As we bid a farewell to November, let's do a quick recap: Killington Resort was the first ski resort in the East to open daily for skiing and riding on November 5, we currently have ten miles of open terrain for all ability levels (that's the most mileage in the East) and we're making snow on four peaks right now. And, it gets better - there's a chance for SNOW through Saturday! We've been making turns for nearly a month; you should come up to Killington Resort and check it out for yourself.
Operational Update
This week's low temperatures have been amazing for snowmaking production. We're cranking the guns on Lower East Fall on Killington Peak, Superstar on Skye Peak, Highline Race Trail on Snowdon Mountain, Header on Ramshead Mountain and Snowshed Slope -- just to name a few.
While trails are primarily advanced, beginner terrain can be found at Ramshead Mountain. Snowmaking on Snowshed Slope and Easy Street is underway, so stay tuned for more beginner terrain in the coming days. Additionally, our Park Crew will begin building a new early season park on Mouse Run Friday night! Expect to see as many as ten lifts spinning this weekend including the Magic Carpets at Snowshed and Ramshead.
The K-1 Express Gondola will open at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, other key lifts will spin at 8:30 a.m. Be sure to check out the Conditions Report for the latest information regarding operating hours, trail, lift and weather information or check out photos to see what the conditions look like.
