My wife wanted to cook for the child and could not. Because separate metal pots stuck together.

If there is water already in the bottom pot, BE VERY CAREFUL because when you boil the water in the lower pot, and then you pull the top pot off, you may get sprayed with scalding water because the pressure in the lower pot builds up. I did succeed in getting the pots apart but I also got sprayed with boiling hot water. Before pulling the pots apart, it would be wise to cover the pots with a very heavy towel, and to wear heavy gloves....just in case.

My pots are pretty much the same size and make a tight seal. The only way I can get water inside is by spray bottle which takes forever. If I put on stove bottom one may burn without adequate enough water in it. I may be stuck also!

Edit: I kept spraying water on the connected pots over low flame and it worked, however bottom did have some potato gellike water inside and all over my throw rug that I will take to laundrymat. Was sitting together for several days all fairly new looking was glad not to trash both. Thank you.

Thank you. Put cold water in the top pot so it would not expand. It popped off on the stove! No oil. No pulling out!

My husband got our two large Pyrex bowls unwedged easily with a small wooden wedge and a small hammer. He turned the bowls on there side vertically and tapped lightly two or three times at the seam, he rolled the bowl over to the opposite side and again tapped lightly and it came apart easily. None of the other techniques we found on the internet worked for us. This is a no mess proven method that works every time. It should work on pots too.

It worked even though very little water went into the lower pot, the heat and oil did the trick

Be very careful while boiling it ppl. Because depending on the content and heat generated, the top container would explode out of the bottom one and you might want to stay away from it for this reason. If you're worried about violent popping then just heat it for very few seconds and then use the oil method like they did in the video.

Im going to buy 4 stainless steel litter boxes, but a few reviews say they had a hard time separating them. I'm not sure this will help.
