Come along on my NYC apartment hunting in Manhattan. This is my first time moving to New York City and also living by myself 😱😱😱. I toured 13 apartments in Manhattan which included studio and one bedroom. In the video, I talk about the NYC apartment hunting process (apartment hunting in Manhattan), difference between peak and off peak season and how it impacts the NYC apartment hunting , income and credit score requirements, supporting documents, my criteria, talk about different neighborhoods, 13 apartment tours in Manhattan and give rating and finally (drum roll pleaseeee) the apartment i picked as my first NYC home. I am so excited to live in the city in my 30s and start this chapter with you guys.

Girl I’m 34 turning 35 in May and I want to move to New York. I live in Los Angeles now and am ready for something new. I think our generation doesn’t view our 30’s as the time to settle down it’s actually the time to live your best life. This is so inspiring.

Congratulations on the move to NYC! I moved to NYC last year when I was 33 and did so alone (+ my dog) too! I always felt like I was so late to do this, when everyone else was doing these kind of things in their 20's, but moving in my 30's when I had more stability, more money, and more confidence was the best thing I ever did! Wishing you all the best!

Please look into tenant rights and laws in NYC! It’s illegal to take more than $20 for an application fee and to require a deposit before signing a lease.

Haha so you’re the person who got that apartment! I applied the same day as you and they told me there was another person who just applied a few hours before and it was first come first serve. I’m still searching for my new apartment but I hope you enjoy it there, it was really lovely! ❤

Thank you for sharing your apartment tour! I am single and 33 and this is inspiring and encouraging. Also reading all the comments below here it doesn't seem like it'll be "too late" for me. I want to move to NYC but the last few weeks I was discouraged and scared because I thought I couldn't afford it. You looked for apartments within my price range and are showing me that this is possible and that it's very normal to live in a studio in NYC. In my city for me it'd be a step back if I moved into a studio from a 1 junior bedroom apartment. I also watched your other videos and it makes me proud that I have gotten rid of a lot of things in my apartment already and encourage me to just continuously downsize. Also, every time I want to buy something I'll think twice about it since I'd have to bring it with me to NYC. hahah

#7 with the French doors & interesting room shapes that didn’t have sunlight-if you set up a shelf system in front of those windows without a view, you can add a wall of grow lights & plants making it happy & food producing! Such as lettuce, cooking herbs, and also cheery flowers

This is why rent in NY or anywhere is so expensive, because you have people who are willing to Pay between $2, 500-$3, 500 for a one bedroom closet. Keep in mind rent increases typically 2-4% in most lease agreements therefore the longer you live there the more the apartment will cost.

Great video ! Apartment hunting is a handful even in North US and this is NYC ! You have come up with an easy to follow reference.
PS: I like Pratisha Didi's straight forward rating !

So interesting to see so many apartment options, space certainly does seem to be an issue in so many. So much money for so little space!

Hi!!! New here. I love this video. I love watching apartment hunts!!! I moved out of Manhattan 2/16. I miss my apartment so much!!! It was on W 88th between CPW & Columbus. It was so adorable. 4th floor walk up but so worth it. The reason I left was they were selling the bldg and my dad had just passed. My life was a mess so I moved into my house upstate. It was a 1 bedroom and 2, 400. I can’t imagine what it is now! Enjoy your apartment and NYC!!! There’s so much to do!!! Im so happy for you!!!🎉❤

Well done. Buy a white noise machine to drown out any outside noise…they work ;)

I could not figure out at first if 7 was good or not so good. Then I got it towards the end of the video.
