As a Native New Yorker, I gotta say, you’ll get a lot more for your money and space if you leave downtown Manhattan. The Upper East Side will surprise you with affordability and size in comparison to downtown. The Upper West Side is also more affordable in comparison but also a bit pricier than the UES. And it goes without saying that you’ll get more bang for your buck if you venture outside of Manhattan. I think there are many neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn you would like. LIC, Astoria, and Sunnyside (in Queens) come to mind. And in BK—Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, etc. You get the neighborhood feel and city amenities without the Manhattan prices and small spaces. Also they’re a pretty close to Manhattan via train & ferry too. So you get the best of it all. It makes NYC a much more realistic option to move to when you explore more “affordable” neighborhoods, in comparison to SoHo anyway lol. 😅

Every time I see how my fellow New Yorkers live I feel so fortunate for my house and my yard 😂🤣. Love these. It’s so fascinating to see all the apartments and different living spaces.

Can we all gasp in unison that it’s already been a YEAR AND A HALF since the last NY apartment hunting video?! 🤯

Always enjoy seeing Manhattan apartments and the crazy prices and layouts. The beauty of NYC is that you can live in a nearby borough and get a bigger and cheaper apt. and still have easy access to Manhattan. This way you can have the bustle of Manhattan and then go home to a suburb. My daughter's friend who has 2 kids just rented a 3 bedroom, 2 bath very large apt. in Forest Hills Queens for $3700. Unfortunately they can't afford to buy a house in their price range right now, so they'll try to save more towards a down payment. I hate the way landlords cut up apts. and have fireplaces in the corner of a room or some other awkward place.

I have no desire to ever live in a city, but these are so fascinating to watch!

I cant believe a year and a half has gone by since that first NY apt tour! Soho apartment #4 😘! I can't fathom $8500 a MONTH for an apt. though. Even $4200! 😳.

Would love to see you do some international versions of these apartment tours or maybe even some home ones!

I would never want to live in NY - and those prices help solidify that 😂
Cool video though! Thanks for showing what it looks like.

Goodness, the monthly rent is so expensive!! I'd rather pay a mortgage - sorry, I'm just stunned at the prices for such a small amount of space.

Thanks for taking us with you on the apartment hunt journey, it was really interesting (and eye opening) 🫨

Love ya 💗💜💗

Apartment #2 was my favourite I loved the brick wall, the stairs, and the overall layout. I actually liked the lighting it made it gloomy in a good way.

How about Brooklyn? We stayed in Chinatown and spent most of our time in Brooklyn last time we went. It was so charming and lots of mom and pop restaurants. Id love to see an apartment there. Love these!

These are so cool. I have worked in Property Management for 20 years. It’s so cool to see other markets! You 2 should do more videos together.

Definitely apartment number 4! I have to disagree with you on painting brick white though! It makes me sooo sad. Takes away from the character but that's just in my opinion 😊
