I remember training my German Longhair Pointer (Freyja) with a group of people from the CKC and using a long leash to initially teach the dogs how to honor a point. I'm a large male at 6"4' and 280 lbs and we were on the side of a hill and I was not properly braced and she dragged me up the hill. Freyja and I were eventually able to get our act together and with considerable help able to earn one field title and one field championship. I miss her dearly along with our Vizsla (Vesta) who with considerable assistance we were able to have Vesta earn two Field Titles and two Field Championships. When ever I took my two girls hunting we would often limit out around lunch time; Freyja would be in need of a nap along with myself while Vesta would be going strong and wondering why we would need a short nap. It has been since December of 2019 that we have been dogless. Hopefully this fall we will be getting a puppy.

what is the longest that Vex has held a point? is there a current world record? I'm getting my first GSP in two days and can't be more happy to start "Scout's" training. your videos are so inspirational, its hard not to skip to the later ones but they are all great keep up the good work.
