ABOUT Dr. Katie Woodley - The Natural Pet Doctor
=====

Dr. Katie is a small animal integrative veterinarian who developed a passion for natural medicine while I was living in New Zealand. Her vet career was lucky enough to begin in the beautiful country of New Zealand. She was able to see how living off the land by growing our own vegetables and raising our own animals was the way to live the healthiest versions of ourselves. Her pets were lucky to have lots of open space to run around in and were always at the beach or the river.

When they moved back to the States five years ago, her husband, unfortunately, developed an autoimmune disease. As they researched natural medicine options for him to avoid the horrible side effects of the treatment options his doctors were providing him, Dr. Katie realized that she was doing a disservice to her animal patients by not offering these holistic options to them. She began down the integrative medicine route and has never been happier. Through nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, and supplements, every animal can achieve optimal health or feel their best even when they have a chronic illness or disease like cancer. She currently has a certification in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and is continuously learning about the other natural modalities and growing her knowledge base every day!

She started this business to provide pet parents with more resources for natural medicine advice and care because we need to increase awareness of how amazing natural medicine truly is! Dr. Katie's mission is to ensure that all pet parents have access to herbal medicine, supplementation, and nutritional advice throughout their pet's lifetime. One of her greatest joys is the opportunity to collaborate with both pet parents and other veterinary professionals to ensure access to all available integrative options for pet health care.

My cat Mr Bumbles just passed away today from Crystals. Why do vets want so much to help them? They wanted 1500 to 2000 to help him. Why couldn't they let us make payment? I want to start a utub channel to raise money to help people who cant afford to pay for there cats Veterinarian bill. This is so sad that they just sent him home without helping him and later him passing away on us. He will be missed Dearly

Everyone on here try the home remedies. If you cannot afford the vet bill, as i, you are on this channel for a reason. There are treatments that are worth trying before they die. Watch the youtube videos on it and take action. We must educate ourselves to help our animal family. There are many vets on youtube sharing their knowledge and treatment so take it and use it.

im glad in my country (malaysia) has very cheap price for vet, my cat has pee problem (cannot pee and if the cat pee, the pee has blood in it), then i bring my cat to vet and they said my cat has crystal in the urine, they said my cat need operation to remove the crystal by flushing method (tubing to urinal) and inspect the cat for a week in the vet. After a week they called me and im very happy that the operation was a success and my cat is healthy and happy like he was. The doctor is very professional and friendly, it only costed me RM 600 (133 dollars) in total for all the operation, services and medicine.

Yeah, my vet suggested pet insurance, but I've come to the conclusion the only reason there is pet insurance is so the vets can raise their rates that much more.

My kitty is ItsyBitsy and has only had a couple of problems with UTI in all of her 9 years. I discovered a long time ago to NOT use scented litter! Some of those are so strong you can smell them just walking close to the aisle they are displayed on. Also, do NOT use too much litter. If the level is high the kitty can rub into it and get irritated. God bless the kittehs!! Love from Texas.

We use organic cornsilk tea whenever my 22lb Tabby starts to have issues. He knows that it helps... because whenever he starts to get a UTI, he comes to me and meows loudly... I then make a cup of tea and mix with his wet food for him. He's good within a day.

Juniper Berry is a Miracle! It was all I had on hand last night for my 8 y.o. male cat yowling in pain, not able to pass. He laid on crystals in his bed and breathed in the diffuser for hours till he released in the wee hours while he slept. I also credit the Reiki cat healing music. Rushed him to vet this morning, x rated and the vet tells me he's quite surprised there are no blockages, crystals, stones visible!!! Sedated, overnight stay but no catheter needed so far! Thank you. I love him so!

Usually… someone is searching for home remedies because the vets are thieves… or they won’t see new patients… or they can’t see your cat for weeks… or they want thousands of dollars that just isn’t available. I remember my old family vet. He would NEVER not help a sick animal. If you couldn’t pay he’d work it it out with you. If you couldn’t pay anything… he’d still treat your baby. He passed away years ago… and I don’t believe that he died any poorer for his compassion for sick animals. Maybe these vets today should make a note of that. Society has certainly degraded over the years… my 4 year old female cat is horribly sick right now with a blockage and there isn’t a vet within 50 miles that will see her. No new patients… no appointments for 2 weeks… then there’s the humane society… scum. They want me to relinquish her or they won’t help. I spend more of my monthly SSDI on my two cats than I do myself. I take awesome care of them. Now, because I can’t afford thousands in vet bills… they say im not able to care for her so I must give her away to be saved. I hate people. They suck.

My calico cat had 5 uti’s in 2022, she had them once every 3 months went through administering pain meds from when she was spayed to antibiotics to vet visits for testing to multiple urinalysis samples. 3 days after my birthday my cat went to the visit after she had her 5th uti, did testing and it found out that she had stones in her bladder. She had surgery to remove the stones, turned out to be struvite stones. After the surgery I had to switch foods and add water to her food, she has not had any UTI’s so far

Malaysia has honesty. In Canada we have veterinarian that get rich and abuse people who love their pets and charged me 9k for 4 days.

Vets are no help they just want our money, from reading these comments i strongly encourage finding home remedies for them and for yourself if you under the weather, these vets and doctors don’t care about you just what you have in your wallet.

I wonder if water qualities might have something to do with the ph balance, like alkaline and acid imbalance?

My cat inky has a UTI. I am giving him D Mannose and colloidal silver.
I can't afford to take him to vet right now :(
I will keep you updated if it works. I am praying for him ❤

I also found apple cider vinegar helps with blockage. 5m( dilute equal parts) 2x a month or depending on if you see blockage beginning. No more than 1x per week

My cat is having this issue. She is 13 year old and was on uti medication, nothing changed. Given xray and bloodwork all were normal. Urinalysis showed blood and bacteria but no white blood cells (infection) .. so they diagnosed her with cystitis.. was on pain /anxiety medication for a week, symptoms never subsided. Shes back again today for more blood and urinalysis! I hope she recovers. I got a new cat last year .. and im almost 100% certain she is the #1 stressor. Ive changed her food, have her on soft foods with a little water added. Stopped giving her tap water, also giving her homeopet UI for her urinary tract.. and something called "liquid vet" for kidney and bladder.. she's still showing symptoms. Been 3 days since I started this but 2 weeks of symptoms! and $2000 later.. 0 answers! 😢

Glad I found this video. My male 6 year old cat, Houdini is going through this right now. He was completely blocked from crystals, I rushed him to the hospital. He was there for four days for treatment. Urinal analysis came back and he has bacteria infection, they claim it's from the catheter so they put him on antibiotics. I hope he doesn't get backed up again. He is peeing but only small sizes and doing it frequently from the inflammation from the infection. I check his bladder many times to make sure it's not full, it still feels like a squishy water balloon and not a softball, so that's good. Half Apple cider vinegar and water helps improve the amount of urine. Any more recommendations will help.

water down their food and mix in d-mannose - problem almost always solved within 12 hours
d-mannose is safe enough to give as a preventative for their entire life; 250 milligrams per day mixed into food for 2 weeks, then take them off of it for a week, then give for another 2 weeks, then off for a week, etc, etc
l-lysine can also help quite a bit, but usually doesn't help enough just on it's own (lysine is also great for upper respiratory infections as well and can be given as a preventative at 500-1000 milligrams every day)
