On the last question, could you order the question as 8x^2 + 4x - 18x - 9 before going on to find the GCFs? Because if you did so, the answers would seem to be different. Is there any reasoning behind where you place +4x and -18x in the question? (For instance: You place -18x behind +4x because it's a larger number, which gives 8x^2 -18x +4x - 9 rather than 8x^2 + 4x - 18x - 9.)
