thank you so much for this video! my mum bought this camera a long time ago for only £2 at an auction and she never even used it or took it out of its box, and she recently gave it to me as a gift, this video helped a ton with the information and I just ordered the film! thanks a bunch <3

I have a later model sx-70 alpha 1 which has a tripod mount and neck strap attachment hooks while still maintaining the classic look of the original sx-70 but i still want to get an autofocus model because they look and function in a super cool manner

My SX70 does not attach directly to a tripod, but it has the extra tripod add on that could have purchased when the camera was sold originally, when i bought mine second hand, it came with the tripod holder accessory. Also there is a anther accessory for the flash. Not the one that sits on top of the lens, this one is on the side.

Sx-70 sonar is the better option IMO, the only thing I feel sucks is carry it around, I always feel like I’m going to snap the sonar housing.

I love this camera! I had one earlier but it was damaged beyond repair in 2020. I managed to purchase another this year and am happy with it!

I have an Alpha 1 SX 70. It has a tripod mount and strap lugs. I use a Peak design strap on it because the attachments for the strap are perfect on this camera and the strap is easily detachable if needed be. The camera can shoot 600 film. I love that it is compact when folded. The sonar sounds nice but seems bulky, but may be my next purchase if I find it a good price.

1.. the alpha models had the mounts on the model1s and strap locks
2. Why not convert your cameras to 600 to shoot in low or bright light situations?
Eliminate the nd filter.

Good information though.

I can see a use for my 5 lb hammer. I would break off that contraption. It's an eyesore. Kinda looks like some parasite attached to the SX70

Hi. One of the great advantages that you forgot to mention about those cameras that what you see through the viewfinder it is what you will get as you are watching through the lense. Thanks. I came here as I have an offer and I wanted to know what I would get.

Have you thought about a Leung washer type attachment to added on under you quick release mount to create a strap attachment?

I have to say it was pleasure watching your video. Great production value. Very well done. I have both cameras as well. Just ordered some film and look forward to start using them again. Do you use the exposure compensation dial much when you shoot?

Hey, do you know what the difference between the sonar autostep sx70 and the sonar autofocus sx70 is. Both look exactly the same. Planning to buy one.
