You can try to pull of the plastic piece on the right side. That covers the gear wheels. Then turn the last two backwards a long time until you hear a click. I had the same issue that a cycle was incomplete and the camera stuck.

There is a fix for that on You Tube. Disengage the close arm and pump the bellows several times then press the shoot button. I did it with the exact same SX-70 you have and it worked.
