How To FIX AirPods Pro STATIC SOUND and CRACKLING

In this video I discuss how to fix the AirPods Pro static sound and crackling you may be experiencing. I love the AirPods Pro and still use the pair I bought when the first launched. However, the AirPods Pro have not been without issues. I had a charging issue that was discussed in a previous video, but I also started to experience a static type sound or crackling in one of the AirPods. The crackling and static sound got progressively worse and when I contacted Apple support, that did not have any options for fixing my AirPods Pro. I then purchased a second pair and began to experience the same static problem. That is when I decided that this must be a bigger issue and Apple should be able to fix my AirPods.

I was told that Apple found an issue with AirPods Pro that were built before a certain date and after running a few test to determine if there was not another problem, they were able to replace my AirPods Pro with a new pair at no charge. I wish I had known this before because I would have saved myself a second pair of AirPods.

If you are experiencing this crackling / static sound problem., I would recommend going to an Apple Store vs calling Apple Support.

I just went through this static issue on my Airpod Pros with Apple. They would not repair or replace for free because mine are more than 3 yrs old. If they were LESS than 3 yrs old, I would have gotten a new pair for free. I did find that turning the NOISE CANCELLATION off in my settings fixed the static issue, but I can no longer use Transparency or Noise Cancellation or the static returns. I'm disappointed in that my AirPod Pros are having this issue being only 3 yrs old. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I expected better quality from Apple. I don't want to drop $250 for a new pair.

Apple refuses to replace mine with the same issue. They won’t say why but it’s likely they’re too old. I bought them October 2019. Now it’s March 2023. The service bulletin says they’ll only replace for 3 years. Which really sucks because it’s only airpord pros built before October 2020. So the window is rapidly closing.

The video is very misleading. This isn’t a fix but just asking apple to replace.

I’m very disappointed apple refused to replace mine despite acknowledging the issue.

No you are not wrong here my guy. This has happened with my first pair of air pod pro 1’s of this same exact rattle thing. I got a second pair recently and haven’t had the issue yet

Good damn it, i should have brought mine to travel to do this, i didn’t know they would do anything after warranty has expired (i also had issue with both, and they were unusable a year after the purchase)

I just got new airpod pros and they sound terrible on my phone but sound perfect on my moms phone. My iphone is the iphone12 mini my moms is the Xr still trying to fix this issue

For anybody that’s questioning this video I just went today 4/22/23 and literally got my AirPods changed from the quality program . I have screenshots in all … this video made me go to the Apple Store and see what was up I really put alcohol in my AirPod Pro’s and found out both em of em was faulty so it was a win win.

This sounds like my issue. But I did drop the L side in my coffee (black, no sugar) it was ok for months then started crackle & cut out. Is have to tap to get back on then it got worse. I cleaned it w/ air & electric cleaner & it came back but has that fuzzy Or static sound now but it doesn’t cut out. Sometimes a little tinny sound like old cheep phones but works. Mine are 1st batch as well. Will they still check & can they tell if it been wet. But dry for a yr or so?
