I'm a welder and her tips and tricks are spot on. Practice on scrap pieces from the projects that you work on.

I am a Canadian certified aluminum welder... 1977 Used to work on a Japanese shipyard in N. Vancouver constructing fishing boats (they pulled the nets out) using 1/8" plate. It was both tig & mig. Have to go fast to prevent discoloration and hot-short when the metal just lets go and falls onto the floor. Aluminum does not get red like metals with carbon in them. Very satisfying when it turns out right... Thin aluminum ain't easy.... You're doing a very good job. It's an art for sure. ❤❤❤❤😂🎉

You can flatten 2024 that easily. But 6061 is a lot stronger and not as malible, it's a good idea to practice with different grades of aluminum the same way. 2024, 5052, and 6061 are the most common grades you're going to work with. She gives great tips that are spot on.

I love that you are a welder! ❤️😍
I always wanted to learn welding and I loved to watched my daddy(in full safety gear) when I was a little girl.
Unfortunately I was talked out of learning because I was a girl and welding was not “lady like”🙄🙄
I regret not pushing back!
Now I push my granddaughters to do whatever they want and never apply or push gender stereotypes on them!
Love your videos! You are awesome and a great role model for all females who want to pursue their own destiny!
❤️✨

Tig and oxy acetylene welding are probably the two hardest types of welding to learn. If you learn how to free hand welding tig you'll pick up oxy acetylene quickly.

I am so happy to see another female welding, I’m in college for pipe welding and I am the only female in the area!!

I generally don’t recommend handling sheet metal barehanded in that manner.

This is how we learned in high school welding class.
Then we cut them into ninja stars and stuck them into the ceiling.

Why not just weld on the pipe parallel? It would still be flat enough?

Use dove soap on your cut off wheel when cutting aluminum just add to it as needed it’ll cut through it like butter.

Id reccomend clamping the pipe with the ends on the vice so the pressure dosent clamp onto your cut off wheel. It can grab the wheel and potentaily break it.

Nice gloves when opening the aluminum pipe

Totally agree. I'm 99% of the time doing stainless, but whenever I got a tricky angle I always grab some scrap of the same thickness and recreate the joint and angle I'd be working at
