It's been a while! Lately I've been on a total house organization initiative that lead me to make these AWESOME (& and cost effective) storage containers.

For similar storage systems you're looking at $16+ per boxes. I was able to make 3 for under $25 *your total may differ depending on the fabric you choose*

I hope this helps you! Let me know if your have any questions. XOXO

Just a little helpful note ... The scissor you are using are paper scissors ment to cut out patterns so they get dull really fast when using them on fabric. The correct fabric scissor are pretty expensive but worth it because the don't get dull as quickly as the paper scissors

You could cut the flaps off of one end of the box before assembling it. I've found its safer and easier to do, especially when using a knife :)
Great idea though! Have a great weekend! :)

I used Priority Mail boxes from the post office (free!) and taped the top corners together for stability. Then followed your instructions.
NOTE: The spray adhesive is very smelly....best to do the spraying in a well-ventilated area!

I love the tufted headboard and now this fabric storage box.  I buy these bozes whenever I see them at Ross, TJ MAzz etc. Sometimes, I don't like the particular design, but now I am inspired to mke my own.  Keep them coming Diva! Thank you again for sharing:)

The use of spray adhesive is and excellent idea. It has advantages over glue gun in that you are adhering all the fabric down to the board. I did a box with a a glue gun and did not like the bead. Of glue under the fabric. I though it made for a slightly unprofessional look. Of course you only notice it to the touch and up close.
The handles here are a nice touch!
Very good tutorial. TFS :-)

This totally proves how stupidly perfectionist I am yet here she is with dull scissors, too short a ruler, no lines drawn, correcting a box cutting mistake in a haphazard way yet voila! I'll bet if I did all the right stuff, ie. fabric scissors, long enough ruler, lines drawn, box cut perfectly, etc, I could not have had a better result. The only problem I have is with the spray adhesive indoors that might get on the carpet. Big cardboard laid flat outside as your base would be safer never mind saving your carpet.

Great video and idea.

I did something even more nifty and about the same price. I got a box (instead of buying brand new check out your local grocery store; they're always giving them away; some get picky about packaging labels and will demand they get torn off) anyways.... get yourself some spray paint (gloss or mach... I prefer mach or chalk) and than get yourself some half a yard if fuzzy fabric and adhesive glue.

step one: seal one side of the box, and cut off flaps to other side. and cut out handles.
step two: spray paint all sides of the box (interior is optional); let dry.
step three: cut your fabric into strips that will line the top and handle.
step four: use the adhesive glue, spray onto the box where you are going to line with your fuzzy fabric

done. you have a awesome and really cute storage bin. I love steal ideas and improving my life.
