Make These Easy DIY Storage Bins // Organization, Woodworking Project

In this video, I take some plywood scraps I had lying around the shop and turn them into some easy DIY storage bins for organizing my kids' rooms. These storage bins are so easy to make, and they really improve our organization.

I really like the addition of the paint, while still showing wood. It's such a nice finish! I always keep my scraps. I milled down a bunch of wood for my Ladder Golf game and some other lawn games I've made and I had a bunch of thin pieces of walnut and hickory. I didn't think I'd be able to use them for anything, but kept them anyway. Then I went and made my business card holder, which is my most popular video out of it. I recently made a business card stand too, though I didn't do a video for that. I think I might make another for my wife and make it a video.

Great project Bruce! I really like how they turned out, and the natural plywood and paint looks great. I TOTALLY know what its like to get that perfect shot…with my head in the way. I guess I aim the camera how I'd approach the part – then approach it, putting my head in the way, haha. Also noticed the editing on this video – really like that side motion transition you were using. I might try to use that in of my films; had a great flow to it. Glad you got this one published!

Great Project Bruce! Yeah I definitely keep my fair share of scraps. Lately I have used scrap mdf to make jigs here are there. I haven’t checked your podcast out but its now on my list.

They look great - I'm looking for a simple box to store hats, gloves and scarves in my hall/porch. Perfect!! I really like the paint effect - no sprayer for me though - I'll have to go old school and use a paint brush or roller.
