This is a rather great suggestion as the WIDTH is actually the sixty rows instead of the 36 initial stitches- so your hook can be any size and your 36 loop is the WIDTH of the LENGTH so we can make it wider with a chain 50 for a smaller hook like a 3.5 or a 50 with a larger 6 hook- I think she means just use your hook u love best and the first chain you loop will be the width and the over all length meaning how many rows of the loop means stop when your work fits snuggly over your head with your hair up or down or how your wearing it I dunno- thinking of sewing a beret cap style brim/mini visor onto mine for a laugh- I dislike my brows getting wet- lol- ❤

I tried that method before and unfortunately it didn’t work for me, so I single stitched 54 chains and one for turning and did 12 rows of single stitches through the back loop. Came out pretty neat if I say so myself ❤❤
