I also wonder if dinosaur fossils that were found in the ancient world gave rise to the myths of dragons in almost every culture. The human imagination is an amazing thing.

'T-rex of the south was a cannibal"....All predatory dinosaurs were likely cannibles. It would be utterly shocking to find species that werent (if such a thing were possible). Plus, virtually all Rex skulls show signs of battle damage. Likely attempts at killing eachother.

Spino had a relatively weak bite due to its skull design and muscle attachments, it was a swamp dweller and ate mostly large fish.
Definitely not a apex predator to ground animals.
