Was it AI or Human-controlled? Tesla Optimus Robots Had the BEST Human Robot Interaction Ever

Tesla Optimus Robots just had the BEST human-robot interaction we’ve ever seen, but was it AI or human-controlled? In this video, we’ll dive into the incredible performance of Tesla’s humanoid robots, breaking down whether they are truly autonomous or secretly remote-operated.

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots have captivated the world at the recent event, with their seamless interactions and mind-blowing capabilities. Walking, talking, and even playing games with people, the Optimus bots were able to engage like never before. They sang "Happy Birthday" for Chad, played rock, paper, scissors, and even made light jokes that felt natural. But the big question remains – was it really the best AI-powered demo in robotics history, or were humans pulling the strings?

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots had flawless interactions. There were no delays or awkward pauses, something we typically see with robots powered by language models like ChatGPT. Normally, robots experience latency while generating responses, but Optimus answered instantly. That’s where the debate begins: is Tesla’s Optimus so advanced that it’s using an AI system with near-zero latency, or were they controlled by humans behind the scenes, carefully orchestrating every move?

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots featured not only perfect timing but also showcased their individual personalities. Unlike other robots, like Ameca, which tend to use a standard voice for all interactions, these Optimus robots each had unique voices, making the interactions feel more natural and engaging. This level of variety either points to an incredibly sophisticated AI system or multiple humans controlling each robot individually, adding another layer to the mystery. Could the different voices indicate an advanced AI setup, or were humans running the show?

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots left the audience in awe with their lifelike movements and interactions. From watering plants to delivering packages, these robots did everyday tasks with precision. Elon Musk envisions a future where Optimus will do anything from walking your dog to babysitting your kids, and this demonstration brought us one step closer to that vision. But skeptics, including analysts and tech experts, argue that it’s more likely Tesla pulled off a "parlor trick," using humans to control the robots with low latency technology rather than full AI.

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots even showed off their sense of humor. In one moment, a robot made a quirky remark about getting bills, leaving the audience laughing. Whether it was a carefully timed joke or a slip-up from a human operator remains to be seen. The fact that these robots interacted so naturally with humans raises important questions about just how far Tesla has pushed the boundaries of AI. Is this the future of human-robot interaction, or did Tesla employ clever tricks to impress the crowd?

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots also didn’t shy away from explaining their own "struggles." At one point, an Optimus robot mentioned that the hardest part of being a robot is trying to learn how to be as human as we are. This self-awareness is either a breakthrough in machine learning or a clever bit of scripting by a human operator. In any case, Tesla’s Optimus bots are proving to be far more than just a tech showcase – they’re a glimpse into a future where robots might one day seamlessly integrate into our daily lives.

Tesla’s Humanoid Robots: The Most Humanlike Robots stand at the forefront of what could be the greatest robotics and AI demo ever witnessed. The event left the tech world buzzing about the implications for robotics, AI, and machine learning. Elon Musk’s vision of robots doing everything from serving drinks to running errands may soon become a reality. But for now, the burning question remains: are these bots truly AI-powered, or were they being controlled by humans behind the scenes? Either way, Tesla has once again set the bar for what’s possible in robotics.

Human controlled obviously, otherwise this would be AGi

I wish they just said what part was Teleoperation. The listening and voice is 99.9% likely to be so. Which I think would of been much less gutting if they just announced it outright. Because the mechanics and robotics were already very impressive and they could of just let that shine rather than have people guessing.

They had me fooled at first but when you look at it now its obvious its remotely operated. Still just the hardware is very impressive and software / LLMs / AI is improving fast and can more easily be updated / deployed even remotely. Very much looking forward to having my own Optimus to do cleaning and dishes in the near future! :D

Full event was staged. It clear that even vehicles are far from being production ready and even those may have a remote control.

They could have easily used the same voice with operators

One thing you should know, Tesla AI technology is totally different to ChatGPT or others, because FSD need response immediately (or the car crash happen), I think the system could be totally different.

Definitely teleoperated. But the latency is pretty impressive if you think about it.

So I am not a tech savvy person but I really think there should be a clearer disclaimer that these bots are human operated. It could help with the confusion and maybe some future lawsuits 🤷

Just to update here that it is not that hard to get the response time of LLM:s down to less than a second easily.

I have done it myself with running fully local stt, local llm and local tts model together using langchain. By chaining up and doing multiprocessing in a well synchronized way you can easily get a (text only with audio output) model to respond to your guestions near real time. The issue actually becomes timing the model to understand when to start their answer and not speak over the person.

Now I am talking about a LLM system without high reasoning capabilities nor any separate robotic system, but people underestimate how easy the LLM part of the system is to get fast (even when running locally).

Ps. I ran my setup on my laptop with its internal gpu.

looks like somebody has no clue how fast AI does process things in the end of the day. the delay comes from distributing the compute. if you have a sufficient dedicated rig you can blast out responses faster than you could think of an answer yourself.

neuro-sama, the ai vtuber, is a great example of this. her latency is somewhere in the ballpark of 300ms.

The title of this video is incredibly misleading and inaccurate. Tesla was open about the fact that they were being entirely remotely controlled. If you’re trying to say it was the best example of teleoperation, sure, but robotics? Look at the videos decades ago of Asimo interacting with people.

Zer0 is definitely human controlled. Don't be a sucker.

It is human controlled by motion capture, now this is the concern, how do we know these will continue to be controlled by human, it means having a human in your house that is controlling a robot, trust issues to the max

Some of ya'll are forgetting that Elon was one of the founders of AI in 2015. He created Neuralink that's been proven to work with it's first two patients, and is the first to successfully land a spacecraft back onto earth with such precision. IDK how this is too wild lol

it is not important to have an achievement there would be no problem if he support democrats there would be no bashers.. right? when he bought twitter, many people were angry because he said that people will have freedom of speech in socmed wtf .. you should attend the event where he introduced optimus gen 2 before you bash there are many bashers but not one of them has actually seen the tesla robot in person

I don't believe its human controlled that would be a pointless e event to have if tesla has the technology for slef driving cars then it can apply it to robots as well the voice seems ai genersted also
